Costco and Update

Costco just opened its first ever store here in Australia yesterday. Its first store is in Melbourne so it is not that far from where we are. Apparently there were some people that drove for hours just to go to Costco. I'm not sure if I want to pay $60 (Aust dollar) just to have a look. I don't think we buy enough to make it worthy of becoming a member. I think I will wait and see what it is like in few months time. I still think this is good for increasing competion around here. We need it.

We had a big weekend spent way too much at Nobu, but it was so good. We really didn't do much because the weather was horrible, raining and really windy.

    i saw that on the 7pm project yesterday, about costco opening. i wouldn't buy enough either but i'd love to have a look inside lol Smile

    If your curious call and ask if they'll give you a one day pass. They do it here in the U.S. I love Costco, especially since I discovered that they have the most delicious Gourmet veggie burgers.

    Yes, at our Costco you can go in and even use the Pharmacy without a membership card. You just can't check out without a card.

    I seems that you can't just go in without a membership but you can sign up and if you are not happy with it can cancel within a certain amount of time with your money back. It is a bit of a hassle. Or you can go with someone who has a membership as a guest.

    You can have two people on one membership so I share my membership with a friend and so it's only $30 each.

    I've thought about that BuckhornGal but I checked out the website and it says that the membership wil have a photo in it. That person can be the only one that can buy stuff, so it is just not as easy but it is doable.
